Heat is building up – Blue Ray 3D:s are coming soon. Amazon is now taking pre-orders on the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatball Blue Ray 3D. Price is $35.99 if you live in America, or £15.93 if you decide to order it on Amazon.co.uk. Release is in June 22.
There is also Monsters vs. Aliens blue ray 3D release, which so far is bundled together with newest Samsung 3D tv sets, and is not sold separately. This makes Cloudy to be first Blue Ray 3D release available to mortal public.
Now you are asking this question – how to watch this thing? Some good news on this front. ArcSoft Total Media Theatre 3 is releasing a special 3D plugin. Together with bunch of different formats, it will support playback of the Blue Ray 3D using NVidia 3D Vision systems.
Also Cyberlink is coming up with a solution to support Blue Ray 3D playback on NVidia 3D Vision systems. PowerDVD 10 is suppose to get this support soon, and they even have a dedicated 3D page called “3D Zone”.
Sounds pretty cool. I’m not really a fan of Cloudy or Monsters vs Aliens, but that’s a good start, huh? And it seems that 3D Vision going to be a valid system for comfortable watching stereo movies at home. Especially if you have 3D capable projector and a screen. Ok, now give me How To Train Your Dragon blue ray 3D. Please.
